Lynette McCauley is a warm hearted woman who is a qualified and experienced Civil Marriage Celebrant, Speech and Drama Teacher and Adjudicator. She has been married to her husband Dennis for thirty eight years, and has two daughters who are both now adults.
Lynette holds a Fellowship in Speech and Drama with Trinity College London, and is well known in her area for her work with adults and young people. It was for this reason that the Queensland Government presented her with a Notable Woman of South East Queensland Award in the Centenary of Federation. It was through her involvement with Drama and studies in communication and human relationships that she was inspired to become a Civil Celebrant. In Drama one learns a great deal about human nature. Lynette therefore has a great understanding and insight into the types of ceremonies that people are requiring.
Lynette is also a talented writer. She has written scripts and poetry for her students for many years. As such she is highly qualified to either write or help with the writing and compilation of your celebration.
Lynette loves nothing better than having fun with family and friends, listening to music, watching comedy or movies or seeing some theatre, as long as the acting is good! She loves watching the talented Brisbane improvisers play Threatresports, her daughters both being professional players and tutors.
She has a great love of animals, and lives on acreage with two ponies "Peppy and Cinnamon", a sweet cat "Timmy", her beloved Shih-tzu "Tallulah" her husband’s long haired Chihuahua “Blossom” and some goldfish who all amusingly answer to the name of "Goldie". She could not do without the valuable love and support from her husband Dennis, who also assists her with Sound and Music and contributes the muscles to carry the P.A. System for Cherish Ceremonies.

Tamzin is a vibrant, exciting and personable young Celebrant. She holds a diploma in Celebrancy from Australian Celebrations Training. She joined Cherish in January 2006, and has been performing Marriage Ceremonies, Naming Ceremonies, Commitment and Renewal of Vows and Transformation Ceremonies. She loves performing these rites of passage and family celebrations.
Tamzin has a background in Speech and Drama, Communication, Dance and the Performing Arts. She is a current Queensland Theatresports Champion and winner of the Burbrook Cup the premier competition for improvisers in Queensland.
Tamzin is friendly, down to earth and a real 'people person'. Through her training in Drama and Communication she is able to quickly ascertain the needs of clients and deliver the Ceremony of their dreams.
Tamzin was married by Lynette from Cherish to the love of her life, Elton. Elton and Tamzin share a love of comedy, improvisation, plays, movies and dance. They also like to go and fly their kites in their precious spare time. They share a beautiful old church at Bardon with their much loved pets.
